Belleville, New Jersey
Teresa Rizzo, of Belleville, New Jersey, a beacon of compassion, resilience, and spirited intelligence, was born on April 16, 1968, in Newark, New Jersey. Teresa's life was a living testament to the Seton Hall motto, "Hazard zet forward." Embodying this spirit, she courageously charged forward, leaving a trail of love, kindness, and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman who lived her life dedicated to her family, always striving to pave a path of happiness and prosperity for her beloved son and husband. As the Assistant to the Dean Suite in a respected educational institution for 15 years, Teresa's smart and spirited approach to her work was an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike.
Teresa's resilience was as remarkable as her compassion. Despite the challenges that life presented, she remained a steadfast pillar of strength for her family. Her love story with her husband, Anthony Rizzo, was one of mutual respect, unwavering support, and deep affection. Together, they raised their son, Anthony Rizzo Jr., instilling in him the same values of love, perseverance, and kindness that Teresa herself lived by. Teresa's siblings, Donato Battista, Maria Battista, and Giuseppina Battista, fondly remember their sister as a woman who was not just smart and resilient, but also deeply caring and full of life.
Teresa's legacy of love and selflessness lives on through her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Rizzo, their son, Anthony Rizzo Jr. and his wife Nicole, and her siblings, Donato, Maria, and Giuseppina. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Francesco Battista and Carmela Rizzolo.
As we bid farewell to Teresa, we are reminded of a quote by Helen Keller that encapsulates her essence, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Teresa's spirit, her love for her family, and her passionate commitment to her work were all things that touched the hearts of those around her.
In memory of Teresa, we encourage you to share your favorite moments, stories, and photos of her on the memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a testament to the beautiful life Teresa lived, and the countless hearts she touched along the way.
