Sydney Ryan Armado Cruz, 77 of Jersey City, New Jersey passed away on December 23, 2024.
Sydney was born on January 21, 1947 in San Juan del Monte, Rizal, Philippines, to the late Venancio Cruz and Teresa Armado. He led a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. For 14 years, he worked in facility maintenance for United Airlines, where he was known for his perfectionism, strong work ethic, and organizational skills.
In his personal life, Sydney was a devoted husband, spending 51 years of marriage with the love of his life, Maria Elena. They celebrated their union at St. John the Baptist Pinaglabanan Church, a symbol of the enduring love they shared. He was a man who took great pride in everything he did, whether at work, in his home, or on the road, where he was known as an excellent and reliable driver.
Sydney's legacy will be remembered by all who knew him--as a hardworking, loving, and dependable man who made a lasting impact on those around him. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was the devoted husband of Maria Elena Cruz; a cherished father of Elizabeth Cruz; a loving sibling of Araceli Duque, Renato Cruz, Arturo Cruz, Cecilia Balite, Nenita Cruz, Ricardo Cruz and Herman Cruz; a proud grandfather of Julia Laurice Del Mundo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29,2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church, 122 Ferry St., Jersey City, NJ 07307. Followed by a funeral mass at 7:00 p.m.
