Salvador Salazar Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Salvador Nepomuceno Salazar Jr., of Clifton, New Jersey, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Born on December 21, 1970, in Numancia, Aklan, Philippines, Salvador, a dedicated and generous soul, dedicated his life to service and care for others. "The greatest use of a life is to spend it for something that will outlast it," said William James, an adage that Salvador embodied throughout his days.

Salvador left an indelible mark on all those who knew him. As a loving husband to Alma Ruth Salazar, and inspiring father to Zachary David, he was the nucleus of his family, providing unwavering support, love and guidance. He was a cherished brother to Joyce Celis, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His professional life mirrored his personal virtues. A graduate of Iloilo Doctors with a bachelors degree in nursing, Salvador served as a Registered Nurse for 25 years, most recently at St. Joseph's Health, where he was known not just for his technical skills, but for his kindness, empathy, and ability to lift spirits. His dedication extended beyond his regular duties, as demonstrated by his active membership in the ENA Emergency Nurses Association.

Salvador's infectious spirit and zest for life were compelling. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we honor his life and celebrate his journey, we are reminded of the words of Maya Angelou: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Salvador made us feel loved, valued, and inspired. We will miss him immensely.

The visitation for Salvador will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm EDT, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm EDT at the Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, located at 101 Union Avenue, Belleville, New Jersey, 07109.
