Quirina Rebano Macariola

Quirina Rebano Macariola, 98 of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey passed away on September 18, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 2, 1925 in Santa Rita, Samar, Philippines to the late Ruperto Rebano and Rufina Sabusap.
Quirina, affectionately known as Nanay graduated high school at Holy Infant College and Bachelor's Degree at Leyte Normal School major in Elementary Education. She was a teacher at Guinbalot-an Elementary School for 35 years before retiring.
Nanay was ever ready to gently guide her family when they are going to another direction. She was always ready to give her wholesome support and wisdom to anyone in need.
Her life was filled with abundant love for God and others. She will surely be missed for her kindness and her desire for the wellbeing of everyone.
Nanay loved gardening and scrapbooking. She is predeceased by her husband, Demetrio Macariola.
She is the loving mother of Nilda Macariola, Sonia San Luis & Vinson, Nora Macariola-See & Tomas, Demetrio Macariola, Jr. & Ma. Leonita, Bleselda Escolano & Augusto; a proud grandmother of Hans San Luis, Joshua & Nathan See, Kerina, James & Kaitlyn, Kristina, & Karla Macariola, Dan Gabriel & Bettina Therese Escolano; and a great grandmother of Myla.
Visitation will be at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
All are invited to meet at the funeral home on Monday, September 30, 2024, 8:00 AM for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St., Nutley, NJ 07109. Cremation will follow at Rosedale Crematory at 12:00 PM.
