Priscila Egoavil

Priscila Egoavil, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of the Elizabeth, New Jersey community, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 96 at Trinitas Hospital.
Born on January 25, 1929, in La Oroya, Peru, Priscila was the daughter of the late Ezequiel Lavado and Maria Lucen. She carried with her the strength, warmth, and rich traditions of her Peruvian heritage throughout her life.
Affectionately known as "Mama Mama" by her loved ones, Priscila was a deeply loving and special presence. She was the heart of her family--known for her incredible cooking, generous spirit, and unwavering love. Her home was always filled with the aroma of delicious food, laughter, and care.
Priscila was the devoted mother of Felicia Rodriguez, Clara Cerna, Maria Mejia, Maria H. Egoavil, Guillermo Egoavil, Victor Egoavil, Jesus Egoavil, Arturo Egoavil, Gererado Egoavil and Alfredo Egoavil; loving sister of Rosa Lavado and Adelaida Lavado; proud grandmother of Ricardo Egoavil, Alfredo Egoavil, Jonathan Egoavil, Jacky Egoavil, Javier, Egoavil, Jesus Egoavil, Christian Egoavil, Alex Cerna, Eric Cerna, Andy Egoavil, Bryant Egoavil, Anthony Egoavil, Denisse Mejia, Randy Mejia, Sebastian Egoavil, Prescila Morales, William Egoavil, Isabella Egoavil; and adoring great-grandmother of Rhomel Oropeza, Grover Oropeza, Maximus Mejia, Noemi Torres and Olivia Torres. Her family was her greatest joy, and she found immense happiness in nurturing and caring for them.
Her kindness, strength, and legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Zuasola Funeral Homes, 101 Union Ave. Belleville, NJ 07109. Interment will be on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 9:30 AM at Rosedale Cemetery, 750 East Linden Ave., Linden, NJ 07036.

Nacio el 25 de Enero de 1929 en La Oroya, Peru, hija de los fallecidos Ezequiel Lavado y Maria Lucen. A lo largo de su vida, Priscila llevo consigo la fortaleza, calidez y ricas tradiciones de su herencia peruana.
Conocida carinosamente como "Mama Mama" por sus seres queridos, Priscila fue una presencia profundamente amorosa y especial. Era el corazon de su familia, reconocida por su increible cocina, su espiritu generoso y su amor incondicional. Su hogar siempre estaba lleno del aroma de comida deliciosa, risas y cuidado.
Priscila fue la dedicada madre de Felicia Rodriguez, Clara Cerna, Maria Mejia, Maria H. Egoavil, Guillermo Egoavil, Victor Egoavil, Jesus Egoavil, Arturo Egoavil, Gererado Egoavil and Alfredo Egoavil, amorosa hermana de Rosa Lavado and Adelaida Lavado, orgullosa abuela de Ricardo Egoavil, Alfredo Egoavil, Jonathan Egoavil, Jacky Egoavil, Javier, Egoavil, Jesus Egoavil, Christian Egoavil, Alex Cerna, Eric Cerna, Andy Egoavil, Bryant Egoavil, Anthony Egoavil, Denisse Mejia, Randy Mejia, Sebastian Egoavil, Prescila Morales, William Egoavil, Isabella Egoavil y adorada bisabuela de Rhomel Oropeza, Grover Oropeza, Maximus Mejia, Noemi Torres and Olivia Torres. Su familia fue su mayor alegria, y encontro una inmensa felicidad al cuidarlos y estar presente en sus vidas.
