With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Pakeerathan Kanthakuddy, 54, of Kearny, New Jersey, on May 14, 2025. Born on May 21, 1970, in Mahiladithivu, Sri Lanka, to Kathiramapody Kanthakuddy and Palagapody Nesammah, Pakeerathan lived a life defined by humility, wisdom, and quiet strength. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and worked for six years as a Passenger Assistant with United Ground Express, where he was known for his reliability, kindness, and steady demeanor. To his family and friends, he was more than just a loved one--he was a guide, a role model, and a source of strength. Affectionately known by many as "Master," Pakeerathan had a natural ability to lead with compassion. He was a mentor to his friends, offering thoughtful advice, support, and a calm presence that made others feel seen and valued. Above all, family was his world. He was the beloved husband of Amutharany Pakeerathan and the proud father of Netra Pakeerathan and Akshara Pakeerathan. His love for them was unwavering and at the heart of everything he did. He is also survived by his siblings Satkurulingam, Shanathakumary, and Uthayakumari, and was predeceased by his brother Shanthalingam. Pakeerathan, lovingly known as "Master," leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, kindness, and deep devotion. He will be remembered for his mentorship, generosity, and the countless lives he touched simply by being himself. Visitation will be at Zuasola Funeral Homes, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cremation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025, 9:00 AM at Rosedale Crematory, 408 Orange Rd., Montclair, NJ.
