With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Noemi Reyes Cartano of Livingston, New Jersey, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, who left us peacefully on August 11, 2026. Born in Manila, Philippines on April 23, 1943, to Sirio Reyes and Isabel Cruz, Noemi was a vibrant woman who brought joy and warmth to every room she entered. Her resilience and strength were a testament to her character, which was shaped by her rich cultural background.

Noemi was a remarkable woman who lived an extraordinary life. Armed with a master's degree, she had a successful career as a chemical engineer at Clean Earth for 23 years before retiring. Her dedication and passion for her work were admired by her colleagues, leaving a lasting legacy in the industry she served. Although she was successful in her professional life, Noemi's greatest achievement was undoubtedly her family. She was the proud mother of Oliver, Noemi Vanessa, James, and the late Jefferson Cartano. Her love and devotion to her family were unparalleled, and she considered her grandchildren - Andrew, Olivia, Adam, Rocco, Ethan, and Colin - to be her greatest treasures.

Noemi is survived by her children, grandchildren, and her siblings, Armi Senir and Sonny Reyes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sirio Reyes and Isabel Cruz, her beloved son, Jefferson Cartano, and her sisters, Cynthia Acayan and Isabelita Fernandez. Noemi's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her legacy of love, resilience, and dedication will forever inspire us.
