Joyce Grace Parker

Joyce Grace Parker of East Orange, New Jersey passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Joyce was an exceptionally giving woman who quietly helped many members of her family over the course of her life. Before moving to the United States, she was known in Guyana as a smart and successful woman, and she brought that same strength, determination, and sense of purpose into every chapter that followed. She devoted her life to her son, making the life-changing decision to move with him and her mother from Guyana to America, and she invested deeply in teaching her son the values, lessons, and knowledge she believed mattered most. Joyce is survived by her sister, Carmen John; her son, Nigel; her niece, Colleen; extended family across several countries; and dear friends around the world. Her family will always be thankful for all the good she gave to the world, and she will be remembered with love, gratitude, and respect.
