Ildefonso Sanchez Javier

Ildefonso "LD" Sanchez Javier, 88, of Union, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2025.
Born on January 23, 1937, in Lumban, Laguna, Philippines, LD lived a life defined by dedication, love, and quiet strength. He formerly served as an auditor with the Commission on Audit in the Philippines before migrating to the United States. He worked as a security guard at Burlington before his retirement, earning the respect of his colleagues and community alike.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Aurora Javier, in 2013. LD was a devoted father to Genalyn Laurel and her husband Roel, Percival Javier and his wife Hilda, Vibert Javier, Leedeth Gaza, Jingle Lizo and her husband Jojo, Marinol Obien and her husband Jello.
A cherished grandfather, he will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Allyson, Gabby, Elvin, LA, Fonzy, Pia, Jio, Deigne, Audrey, Leone, and Liyanna. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Khloe, Kallie, Kaia, Rory, Raia, Yanee, and Ellerie.
LD's warmth, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Zuasola Funeral Homes, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07109.
Additional funeral service will take place in Lumban, Laguna, Philippines. Interment will be at Lumban Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
