Edna Boland

Edna D. Boland of Newark, New Jersey, a beacon of warmth and strength, peacefully passed away at the age of 94 on August 5, 2026. Edna was born on June 18, 1932, in Hawthorne, NJ, to the late Evelyn Koster and Herman Lawrence. Her life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the value of hard work. She was an inspiring figure, whose love and care for her family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life.

Edna was a loving wife to the late Michael Boland, her partner in life and love, whom she cherished deeply. She was a thoughtful and nurturing mother to her children, Guy and wife Kathy Boland, Margaret and husband Joe Lepiscopo, Wayne Boland, Ronald and wife Roberta Boland, and Tammy and husband Daniel Frieman. Edna's love extended to her grandchildren, Cindi, Guy Jr., Amy, Jordan, Rachael, Angela, and Timothy, and great-grandchildren, Allison, James, Sean, Ryan, Austin, Emma, Michael, Lillyana, and Rosalie. She took immense joy in their accomplishments and growth, and treasured every moment spent with them.

As a retired sales associate at Fabric Warehouse, Edna was known for her commendable work ethic and dedication. She had a unique ability to connect with people, making them feel valued and appreciated. Edna was an active member of the 3rd Presbyterian Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith. Her spirit, her love for her family, and her unwavering faith will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
