Dante Bayani Arcilla

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dante Bayani Arcilla, who peacefully entered eternal rest on September 2, 2025, at Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, New Jersey at the age of 77.
He was born on August 29, 1948, in Quezon City, Philippines. Dante was the beloved son of Ricardo Arcilla of Calolbon Catanduanes and Socorro Bayani of Manila. He grew up with strong values of family, faith, and perseverance that guided him throughout his life. He is survived by his siblings Minerva,Juris,Portia and the late Rhodora.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Amelia Nicolas Arcilla, with whom he shared many wonderful years filled with faith, love, and partnership. Together, they raised their children, Dennis and Derrick Arcilla, and welcomed into their lives their daughter-in-law, Florence Arcilla. Dante's greatest joy was his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Alana, and Isabelle, who were the light of his later years.
Dante built a distinguished career as a Civil Engineer in the State of New Jersey, where he dedicated more than 20 years of service. His work and commitment left a lasting impact on his community and colleagues. He was a man of strong Catholic faith, a tennis player, traveler, and enthusiast of life who embraced each new day with curiosity and joy.
Dante's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family and community will live on in all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be at Zuasola Funeral Homes, 101 Union Ave. Belleville, NJ 07109 on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M.
Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 10:30 A.M at Our Lady of Mt .Carmel Nutley - 120 Prospect St, Nutley, New Jersey 07110.
Cremation will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 12:00 noon at Rosedale Crematory - 408 Orange Rd, Montclair, NJ 07402.
