Conrado Rapada

With a blend of deep sadness and fond remembrance, we announce the passing of Conrado Dela Cruz Rapada, aged 82, on August 3, 2026. A pillar of strength, a beacon of wisdom, and a font of love, Conrado was a man whose life was a tapestry woven with threads of resilience, compassion, and unwavering faith. Born in Gonzaga, Cagayan, Philippines, on December 29, 1943, to Mariano Rapada and Julia Dela Cruz, Conrado's journey from his birthplace to become a respected member of the Elizabeth, New Jersey community is a testament to his indomitable spirit and tenacity.

Conrado was a man of deep faith, devoted to the Roman Catholic Church and the Unificationist Church. His beliefs were a compass guiding him through life's challenges and blessing him with the ability to see beauty and joy in every circumstance. His faith was not just in his prayers but in his actions, as he served the Elizabeth Family Church with steadfast commitment and love. It was this same love and dedication that he brought into his marriage with his beloved wife, Magdalena Agapinay. Together, they forged a union filled with mutual respect, shared dreams, and enduring love.

Conrado's legacy is carried forward by his children Emiljun, Maricon, Julius, Darlen, Conrado Jr., Marivie, and Mariann, who will remember their father as a man of unyielding strength and infinite love. He was also the much-loved brother of Zenaida, Visitacion, and Crisencia, and the cherished grandfather of 23 grandchildren. Each of these individuals was a unique thread in the vibrant tapestry of Conrado's life, contributing to the rich, colourful pattern that was his incredible journey. Conrado was preceded in death by his parents, Mariano Rapada and Julia Dela Cruz and his siblings Matilde, Febe, Marilou and Fidel.
