Amelita "Mely" Mascarenas Malig, 66 of Jersey City, New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2020 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Born March 15, 1954 in Malabon City, Manila, Philippines. She lived in the United States for 32 years. She is a member of Ocean of Mercy Prayer Community. She was employed with Hackensack University Medical Center as Histotechnician for 15 years. She is the loving sister of Adelina Bernardo, Arturo Malig, Matt Malig and the late Alexander Malig. Private Visitation for Immediate Family only will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m at the Zuasola-Grillo Filipino Funeral Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003, A Graveside Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington in a closed ceremony.
